So, last week I'd posted a question about BBQ for dinner. I started doing some more research. I found out that Hutchins BBQ in McKinney was open during dinner hours. I'd been to Hutchins BBQ a long while ago, probably 15 years or so. I wasn't overly impressed at that time. But, recently Texas Monthly had named them in their 50 Best edition, so I thought I'd check them out again.
It was very good. There was a line at 6:30 on Saturday night. The wait was about 20 minutes. The good news is, They kept bringing out fresh briskets and racks of ribs from the smoker to be sliced. This was no leftover meat from lunch.
I searched this board, and didn't see Hutchins as even getting a mention. It's not going to have you have a flashback to before the split-up at Kreutz, but it's a local place serving up some commendable BBQ.
