Following a previous poster lead, tried this place last night.
Kung Pao chicken was allright. I was not too impressed with it at all. It taste, well just like any other kung pao chicken. Mix of small cubed chicken, pieces of onions, green peppers and peanuts in a spicy sauce. I thought the one in China Tofu@ Union City for half the price is probably better.
Hunan Spareribs has similar seasonings to the kung pao chicken above. Again, it's ok.
Green onion pancake is quite good actually. For $2.35 you get a small pancake. Nicely browned outer surface with delicious cracklings and the inside is like tortilla. A small peanut sauce is provided. Too little !
Steamed dumpling is allright, nothing too great either.
Meat pie turns out to be two slices of the pancake above sandwiching a mix of pork and juliened lettuce in a slightly spicy thick sauce. It's good.
My first visit is not all that exciting. Not sure if I want to plunk more money there to try other dishes.
Another Hunan place in Fremont that was a site for a previous chowdown was more impressive I thought.
