horrible tom yum at osha thai tenderloin

It was late and I was starving, so I was looking forward to a large bowl of tom yum noodle soup. I had eaten this soup at the Valencia street location and that version was deliciously spicy and sour. The soup arrived and I was extremely disappointed because it was sweet and barely spicy, despite the fact that I asked for it "spicy".

I was hoping it would be salvageable, so I flagged down the busy waitress and asked for some lime. She brought me 2 slices which totaled about a quarter of a lime. I squeezed out every drop, and added some fish sauce. Still, too sweet.

I repeated the process. The waitress seemed a little annoyed because she was busy. She brought me two more pieces of lime. Squeeze, fish sauce, stir, taste. Still, too sweet.

I decided that this wasn't the type of place where you send your food back just because it tastes bad. I thought about asking for either a half cup of vinegar or 3 limes, but decided that I was finished trying to rescue the soup. I told the waitress that the soup was too sweet and she said, "Oh, I'm sorry." We paid the bill and left.

The other dish we ordered, the Osha Fried Rice, tasted fine but made me sick.
