My current impression is that there is no exceptional Italian restaurant in Edmonton but I am prepared to settle for above average
I consider the Piccolinos, Il Fornos and Gino's, etc. "red sauce and cream" restaurants, average comfort food, but not reflecting the rich regional cooking that exists in Italy. If you wanted to eat "Italian" in Edmonton, at any price, where would you go? What's good and true where? ( e.g. I have enjoyed the Spaghetti Alla Norma at the Sicilian Pasta Kitchen, a classic sicilian pasta dish with eggplant and ricotta salata).
