Curious if anyone has been here. I have high hopes for this restaurant but nobody has really said anything about it.
I had a quick dinner here tonight and we were one of five groups in the entire place at 7:30pm. We ordered off the chef's special menu, just three dishes: beef filet with mushrooms in pepper sauce, beef hot pot in curry sauce and some chinese broccoli.
The standout dish for us was the beef filet (ordered it twice), but I'm more curious as to other experiences out there. portions are very small and not sure it was worth $80 for 4 dishes. Also they charge for rice.
I finally got out of one of the peopel who worked there to give me more info on the HV chefs they've hired. He said they hired 2 chefs from Harbor village for dinner and 2 of HV's dim sum chefs. I asked why the dim sum was exactly the same as before except for dan tat and he said something about gradually incorporating changes. I tried to politely tell him to bump up the pace, but not sure he got the hint. he did admit that the dinner menu has radically changed. if i spoke chinese i would put some pressure on them to start making changes to the dim sum menu. tired of traveling for dim sum.
