Thanks to Limster's suggestion from a long time ago, we headed to Ho Yuan Ding for our theochew style braised goose/duck. We were happy with what we found. The dish wasnt delicately made or anything like that, but the duck was tasty, and came with the accompanying vinegar/chilli/garlic dipping sauce. The dofu underneath the duck was also of the soft variety as expected. The only drawback was that they served the bony parts of the duck as well, and I'm used to no bones when it comes to this dish.

We ordered some other stuff, shrimp ball, and hongshao dofu. all of which were quite good.

I also noticed other tables ordering fried pigeon that came w/ salt and pepper dipping condiment, as well as stir fry pork that you eat with lettuce. I think we'll try these the next time we come.

The place is rather dingy looking. But then, it's in Chinatown, and who cares? I'm just happy I could get my theowchew duck fill in Boston. Thanks again Limster.
