hmmm...habenero gingerbread or wasabi ganache???

Wow something even more interesting emerged last night from Komodo, already one of my favorite places (and favorite in the East Village, AVe A at 12th St.). I'm not much on desserts after dinner, but one of the specials was a dollop of chocolate ganache, almost like a soft chocolate tuffle. Except the chef had mixed a little spicy wasabi -- just like with sushi. Wow. A really unexpected flavor. The standard dessert at Komodo is gingerbread made with a little bit of habanero pepper that already makes me wild. Ok, so I guess they really are Mexican/Asian....
