We made it to HK East Ocean (3199 Powell St). When I mentioned to the manager that we heard that the chef from Harbour Village had moved there he actually brought him (Andy C Wai) to the table to talk to us. He was very nice, recommended some dishes and said he expects to improve the dim sum significantly in the near future...They all seemed very excited about the future!
Waited 20 minutes to get a GREAT table.
Chicken feet a bit bland, great greens and rice cakes. Shanghai soup dumplings had no soup at all. The noodles with mushrooms were excellent. Duck tongues a bit tough. Sticky rice was very nice in three small packages (not as good as the one by Yimster in the picnic).
Overall it is a good place to keep in mind and hopefully will get even better.
