I almost hate to post it but Casa Macaluso deserves its own thread. This is not your average South Florida Italian restaurant. I've been to them all around here from Sal's to Primavera and nothing perfected real Italian like you'd get in Italy until I dined here. This place is very small, and very popular so make sure you have a reservation. The staff is attentive but busy, if there is a weakness I would say the restaurant is just a bit understaffed. Of course, Antonio makes you feel at home so if the service is a tad slow you don't notice it.
One visit I had a fish special, it was swordfish and it was sublime. Another time I had Veal Saltimbocca and again it was excellent. A third trip was another veal dish. I don't think I've had a bad bite in the place. The complimentary limoncello in a frozen bottle is a great touch and do not, I REPEAT DO NOT PASS UP THE CANNOLI FOR DESSERT. I am not a dessert person but on my first trip Antonio insisted so I ordered it.
It's a bit hard to find in a small strip mall at 1825 E. Sample Road, just look for the Maryland Fried Chicken place and it's right next door. It's like walking into an Italian cafe in Florence.
