we tested out JT's this weekend for breakfast and were surprised to see that it is mainly a hawaiian menu.
I ordered the portugese sausage and eggs with 2 scoops of rice and, while i have never had portugese sausage before, so i don't know if it was a good version or not, i enjoyed it.
it reminded me of spicy scrapple.
Others were there scarfing down massive plates of kalbi ribs, kahlua pork and cabbage, and loco moco but i decided to stick with breakfast and try out the lunch plates at a later time.
I have to say, that most greasy spoon type places for breakfast, while they may taste good, they always make my stomach hurt later, but this breakfast was perfect. no pain, no exorbitant grease, and a whole bottle of srichacha on the table to mix in with my over easy eggs.
Just thought you'd like to know since you were asking a couple weeks ago about where to get your portugese sausage and eggs fix....
19th and Taraval.
