As a heads-up to anyone who might be interested, I just saw that Clover is having a "Harvest Dinner" party at their East Cambridge location on October 20th. Looks like they're sort of celebrating the end of their first year of offering a bunch of CSAs for pickup through that location. It seems like they're serving New England-y fall food: baked beans, squash, sweet potatoes and the like, along with beer -- which I'm guessing will be Notch brewery's beer that they made with local malts from Valley Malt this year (an incredibly cool idea in its own right -- http://beeradvocate.com/events/info/5...).
I went to a fancy dinner party sort of thing that Clover threw at HSQ this spring and found it to be really impressive. They've got a couple of really talented chefs in their employ and like to flex their gourmet muscles every so often.
Per the site, all the proceeds are going toward funding next year's CSA program. They did a TON of CSA sales this year so they're really putting their money where their mouth is with this stuff.
