Just wanted to give a quick update about several Harlem restaurants that have been affected by the economic downturn. There are unconfirmed rumors about a few other places that I won't write about until they have been confirmed.
Baton Rouge -closed end of October and reportedly will reopen under new management.
MoBay (sister restaurant to Baton Rouge) has filed chapter 11 and will restructure, but will remain open as long as possible,
Manna on 125th and 8th Avenue is moving one block up between 126th and 127th Streets.
Charles Southern Kitchen - Seized by City Marshall end of October.
Sugarhill Java Cafe closed earlier this year.
Those are all I can think of right now but it seems I am forgetting one or two. Any know of others?
