Hallie's Diner. Petaluma

I really wanted to try Water Street Bistro for breakfast but on Saturdays they don't open until 8am and that was too late for me on this particular day. So, I drove by Hallie's Diner which is just a few blocks away - right by the Petaluma Market. Hallie's Diner has a counter and some booths - it's pretty low key with a nice small town feel. I sat at the counter - the person next to me was having a bowl of granola with fruit that really looked good - a large bowl of granola was covered with large pieces of ripe fruit. I decided to got with the Huevos Rancheros and a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. The diner was already pretty full when I arrived and I think they only have one cook working the back - all the food coming out looked good but it took awhile - I waited about 15 minutes and decided to get mine to go so I wouldn't be late for my meeting. I took a few bites in my car while it was still warm - a very nice rendition. Two eggs over easy on top of a few tortillas/tomato sauce/melted cheese..... savory black beans, sour cream and a fruit (mango) salsa. I was sorry that I couldn't hang out and have a leisurely breakfast -
