Halal Street Vendors

Prior to September 11th, there was one of those Halal Chicken & Rice vendors in Liberty Park, that big concrete park southeast of the Trade Center across Church. He was, without question, the best of such vendors. Every day, regardless of weather, there was a 20+ minute wait from noon-2PM for this guy's chicken and basmati rice. Well, after 9/11 our offices moved (kinda had to) so I no longer work down there. I have, however, been back down there a few times since, have wandered the streets, but can find no sign of him.

Does anyone know (1) who he is and what has happened to him and (2) where else you can find high-quality Chicken and Rice? I have found only three locations that come close:

NW corner 40th & Third
SW corner 54th & Park
SW corner 39th & Broadway

And no need to make mention of anyplace on Sixth Avenue. They're all terrible.

Additionally, there was a vegetarian vendor called "Govinda". Anyone know where he is?
