Greetings fellow chowhounds!
Our family is coming up from Atlanta to see The Gates on President's day weekend (Feb 17-21) - My folks and one sister are joining us from Miami, and my Grandma is coming from Philly. So that's a total of 6 adults and one well-behaved 15-month-old (eating solids, not very picky. Loves chili and Thai coconut soup).
I need advice on places for lunch (Fri-Mon) and dinner (Thurs-Mon) for this crowd - mostly inexpensive to moderate - one splurge could happen.
Grandma won't eat sushi, some of us are trying to eat healthy (-ish, it is vacation) - otherwise no cuisine restrictions. Restaurants must be ok with serving the kid...she's alright, y'know :)
Am willing to put up with some inconvenience (e.g., making reservations, no strollers) for better food...Also appreciate places that don't require us to take a cab, as the group's size makes them awkward (We are fine on the subway; staying at the Red Roof Inn). Bonus points for letting me know if one of the restaurants you are recommending is near an attraction or activity you recommend for family vacations.
Very grateful in advance - can't wait!
