"Green sandwiches" from Chinatown

Does anyone know how well these keep in the fridge? I seem to recall that in his piece about them for the New Yorker, Calvin Trillin wrote that he keeps a bunch in the fridge, but I am curious whether anyone has any personal experience. (Obviously at $1 each, it's a low-risk experiement to try it myself, but I'm just curious if others have done so.)
