Went to Greekfest on Friday Night and enjoyed it immensely. The tiropitas (cheese-filled filo dough pastries) had a light lemony-nutmegy flavor and the generous moussaka servings more than satisfied. The lines weren't too long and the serving system was exceedingly smooth for this type of event (in my experience) so things moved quickly. I also liked the loukomathes, fried dough balls drizzled with honey. Hard to go wrong there.
There were also greek beer stands, greek coffee, other desserts, a grilled lamb plate stand and a gyro stand. Though Fri night admission was free, I'd pay the $3 to go tonight (Sat) or Sun. Plus, there's a dollar off coupon on the website, www.lagreekfest.com.
