greek in patchogue

Had lunch today at "Athena East", just opened in Patchogue on Main St across from the library. I had to let everyone know it was the best lunch I've had in years, at half the price. Had moussaka..unbelievable.. and lamb shanks with orzo, prepared as well as any 4 star restaurant, and both were about $5 a plate!! Excellent Greek wine and beer. Our entrees came with Greek salad (or soup or regular salad, what a deal). And the ambience was impeccable, bright as a day in the Mediterranean, and just as friendly too. Left there feeling really happy. Just wanted to share the info in case anyone winds up in Patchogue in the near future, I lived there for 10 years and the only place that impressed me was Louis XVI, but that wasn't an every day kind of lunch. This place is open breakfast, lunch and dinner. Enjoy.
