Great Sandwiches - Low Prices - Valley Village

Went to a place that I had noticed several days ago (window sign said "world's greatest pastrami"]. Went to lunch at Pat's Cafe being re-named Carrie's or Kerrie's who is the nice lady that operates the place. Waiting for beer and wine license. I ordered the hot pastrami dip that must have had close to a pound of pastrami on it. Comes with mustard and pickles and a light dip, a side of cole slaw, potato salad or french fries, a soft drink and free refills. Shouldn't have finished it. No one should eat that much food. The enormous price for the whole shebang was $5.99 plus tax and tip. Located at 12123 Riverside Dr. (just west of Laurel Canyon) in Valley Village. 15 sandwiches on the menu all priced at $5.99. Run, don't walk (the exercise will prepare you for the eating). Open until 9:00 p.m. except on Sundays.
