Great Q places in the South

Everyone chip in their own thoughts and comments.

Scale is from one to ten but only the upper stuff here. Please only comment on places you have visited.

nines (and high ones at that)
RO BBQ Gastonia, NC hard to call it Q but I was raised on it. Actually it's the slaw/sauce that is great. The "Q" is actually roasted pork loin that only saw smoke if the cook was smoking a cigarette when he put it in the oven.
Taste of Country Buffet Warsaw, NC-lunch only-closest thing to a pig picking in a restaurant
Arthur Bryant's Kansas City Great ribs
Ott's Houston,TX Sausage and brisket plate is to die for.
Goode's Houston, TX Japaleno bread and BBQ duck. Interesting to note that I ordered a pork sandwich and asked them to put slaw on it...guy looked at me like I was crazy. In NC they come that way as a standard.
Interstate BBQ Memphis For the BBQ bologna sandwich...got to try this puppy.
Log Cabin BBQ Loudon, TN Good Q but if you're there on the day when the turkey and dressing is the special go for that.

tens
Corkey's original location in Memphis. Dry rub ribs are great.
Georgia Pig St. Mary's Ga. Bound to get some disagreement but I've been there fifteen or so times and always great. Got to sweet talk the little old ladies but it seems to be worth it from what I've read from other folks.
Henrey's Smokehouse Greenville SC Exceptionally deep smoke taste and beautiful help.
Hill's Winston Salem NC Only a low eight for me but my wife insisted it get put here. Her family has a BBQ shoulder for Christmas, not turkey. Just off 52 (Jim Earley's book will send you in the wrong direction so follow the sign or google it) Moist Q but I don't think they use wood.
BBQ Center Lexington On a good day they would be in the next catagory. Their desserts are fantastic
Allen & Sons Chapel Hill, NC Got to know how to order and in a southern accent or you get dry sawdust. This place is one of the most difficult of all Q places to get the "good stuff". Sit down, simply order and the meal is crap. BS the waitress, smooze the cook and wonderful stuff will come your way. Now don't try doing this during the rush but once you know the lingo ordering in the rush is not a problem. This may not be good business but they seem to be doing alright.

twelves (yes, twelve on a scale of one to ten)
Stamey's Greensboro NC
Lexington #1 Guess where
Bridges Shelby, NC (both of them)
Skylight Ayden, NC
Watford's Bennettsville SC (for their hash and fried skins ONLY) Their Q is a mid eight but the hash and skins are out of this world.

Comments and additions are welcome. Flordia additions in particular. Just got some business reasons to be in the northern part and the panhandle.
