Great Night at Barbuto in Meatpacking District

RJR | Feb 3, 2006 06:48 PM

My boyfriend, myself and a good friend went to Barbuto earlier this week and had a great night. We went with some trepidation, considering some of the reviews that I've read on this site and others were mixed at best.
The greeting and service were good, and the food was quite tasty for the price. Two of us ordered the pasta with a pork and veal ragout, and it was delicious. We also enjoyed starters of cod cakes, grilled calamari salad, and arugula salad and these were all quite tasty as well. Add in a round of apperatifs, a bottle of wine, and scotch for two of us for dessert landed us at about $200, which I consider pretty good value.
Definitely recommended!
