Another great meal at North Street Grille

Shaebone's rec (link below) reminded me that NSG would be a perfect place to bring an out of town guest who was looking for a great meal in a relaxed setting. We headed to the North End about 9:30 after seeing King Kong last Thursday night, sat at the bar (pretty quiet before the holidays), and once again enjoyed everything we had - apps were the tuna tartar with sesame aoil, with homemade potato chips and seaweed salad (I have a hard time ordering a different appetizer because this is always so good) and E had the lobster spring rolls, filled with a creamy lobster filling, served with a dipping sauce and pickled carrot slaw. Our three entrees were so generous as usual, we had enough for a second meal the next day - the duck, mushroom, and chive risotto, the rib-eye (my first time trying this, as good as AFishCalledWanda raves) with bourbon creamed mushrooms and fries, and the grilled chicken sandwich with lemon aioli on focaccia, along with a side of the ever-popular "dish" of rosemary fries. All accompanied by a wonderful bottle of red that the chef recommended. Everything was excellent. In fact, I had the other half of P's sandwich the next day, and it was still juicy - the grilled chicken was layered with arugula (I think), onions, and proscuitto. As usual, a great bargain for this caliber of food and portions.
