Its nice to find a place that isn't mobbed with people for a Sunday lunch. That's what happens when you trade off a "Grove adjacent" restaurant for 6th and Rampart. Pulled up to a meter right in front of the place, walked in and the place was kind of dead. We were seated with menus right away. Complimentary chips had black beans, tomatoes and onions on top and were served with a very powerful habanero salsa. We ordered the appetizer platter which came with Panucho, Salbut, Kibi & Codzito. Between that and the chips pretty much filled us up, but I went ahead and hacked away at my cochinita pibil which was as good as the stuff Ive made at home using the "Once upon a time in Mexico" recipe. SO had the Brazo de Raina, also very good and had a great presentation. Even though it was dead it took awhile for the food to come out indicating to me that everything was made to order. Sincere, friendly service, a great looking space - I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
