Restaurante Coreano Kil Mok in Santiago de Chile. I found the restaurant about a month ago by accident while looking for another Korean restaurant (which I never found). I went with one friend yesterday, we had a meal for two people. I don`t know what it is called, since we ordered by pointing to what another table had and asking for the same. Maybe someone knows what we had. They brought a grill to our table with raw beef, onions, scallions. We grilled the meat, really tasty marinade. Then came bowls of lots of condiments, kimchee, spinach with garlic (we were thankful for the garlic, in Chile there is plenty, but restaurants don`t seem to use it much in their cooking). Nice chili paste. They brought large leaves of lettuce in which we wrapped rice, the meat and the condiments all otgether in a little sandwich. It was delicious. We ate A LOT. Luckily there was still room for Ice cream at Bravissimo downtown afterwards.
It made me very happy to find good Asian food in Santiago, I miss those flavors! There`s lots to explore on the menu here, I think there`s some stuff in Korean that is not even translated, so I might have to break out my chowhound passport next time.
That`s about all, sorry if my sentence structure in this posting is not so great, as my spanish improves, my english worsens. Chau,
