This is our first visit and we are looking forward to the fabulous food I've been reading about on Chowhound!
We are staying in Old Montreal 3 days and Quebec City for 4 without a car. Walking or short taxi rides are ideal. We are not necessarily looking for fine dining with exorbitant prices-- just small restaurants or bistros where we can eat for under $60 for 2 persons(not including wine).
We'd like to find some warm soup, bread and cheeses for lunch. Our favorite ethnic meals would be Vietnamese and Lebanese. Mauritian food sounds intriguing and would love to try it! The market sounds great too and would like to browse and eat along the way. I'm not sure if it's the season, but moules et pommes frites are a must! BYOB is not a problem either.
Oh, and we may ski at Mt Ste Anne as well -- is there good food on the mountain where we can warm up as well?
Thanks for any suggestions!
