For those who are interested, I just picked up a 5 lb. wholesale bag of Scharfenberger 70% bittersweet chocolate at Ocean State Job Lot for 10 bucks. It's got a "short date", meaning it's supposedly best by June 2009, but I opened it up and it's great, and, as you may know, high cocoa mass chocalate will really last for years.
I never see this for less than $9 a pound, so this is the best deal I've found in a while. I'm tempted to buy another, but what will I do with 10 pounds of chocolate?
BTW, I got mine at the Ocean State store in Foxboro, but I'm told they have them at other stores as well. I'd recommend calling in advance.
