It was a nice day on Sunday and decided to take my SO to brunch at the Harbord Room. They don't take reservations but luckily the place wasn't too packed. It was a nice little space and we sat near the front of the restaurant and soaked up the sun.
My SO wasn't too hungry so we ordered The Harbord Room Benny, a side of fruit/granola/yogurt and a extra order of pig (bacon,sausage, peameal), a latte and a cappaccino.
The eggs were perfectly poached and the pancetta was crispy and tasty and the hollandaise sauce was excellent, all on top of a half croissant and a side of organic salad/arugala.
The extra meat was well worth the $4 and were very tasty and my SO's granola hit the spot for her and was pretty good as well.
I had my mind set on the breakfast poutine, but a lot of people ordered the benny, so I guess I'll go for the poutine next time.
Service was excellent and it started our Sunday in a great way. Will definitely return for another brunch and dinner.
