Great breakfast in Rowley

After leaving traffic court in Newburyport yesterday morning (GRRRR), we headed down Rt. 1 and stopped in at Cathy's Country kitchen for breakfast. I have to say, it was one of the best breakfasts I have had in the Boston area. We split a feta, onion and kalamata olive omelette...truly great. This was as close to a *real* omelette that I have ever had in a diner environment..very thin, light, fluffy with a hind of curd to the egg. No leathery product here! Red potato homefries were nicely seasoned and the toast made with their homemade bread was superb. We split for "dessert" the special pancake of the day: multigrain and nut. A MASSIVE single pancake chock full of walnuts and pecans. Tender while thick.

I haven't seen this place mentioned much on the board, but it looked pretty popular for 9:30 am on on Wed morning. Their homemade breads are sold, and there were other fresh baked items. Check it out!
