Was a little worried that this place would be a tad too hip for my parents - but they loved it!!!
We started off with beers, pomme frites, and crab hushpuppies (yum!)
My brother and I both had the burger - it was cooked perfectly rare and was one of my all time favorite burgers. The pomme frites were really tasty - especially with the much discussed dipping sauces.
My mother had the ono, she was hesitant, because she really disliked the ono she had at Chow the previous week (a restaurant she otherwise really likes) but really enjoyed Luka's version. It was really moist and flavorful.
The only disappointment item was the cassoulet. Keep in mind, it was a wonderful cassoulet - my dad insisted on ordering something I told him he would not like. He found the duck confit flavor too strong - I thought it was really good. He really should have had the ribeye :)
Our desserts were really nice, the chocolate molten thing with ice cream - man I could have had three more of those - delicious.
Service was excellent, our waitress was friendly and attentive (it didn't hurt that she was very pretty) - but honestly I hadn't had such warm and attentive service in a long time. It was nice that they had a little candle in my dessert and sang a little birthday song - great fun festive evening with great food. I highly recommend this great place.
