I haven't been to Chowhound in a while, and don't know if this place has been discussed here yet, but there is a new barbecue place in Sandy Springs which has some of the most delicious pork I've ever tasted. It's called the Pig-n-Chik. It's on Roswell Road in the Fountain Oaks Shopping Center, near the 4500's, I think - the restaurant is in the building on the left side of the huge parking lot, downstairs, and in fact is right behind the staircase at the end of the building (hard to see, sort of). The pork can _easily_ be cut with a fork. The brunswick stew is homemade from scratch and is delicious. Cole slaw is top quality and not too sweet. I've not eaten anything else there, but the chicken is supposed to be top-notch, and the beef only so-so. I have only had pork this good from a restaurant in one other place, a Caribbean lunch counter in New York. The _best_ barbecued pork I've ever eaten.
The sauce they put on the meat is a little too sweet for me, but they have an alternative, vinegar-based one, I just discovered. A huge plate of pork, bruns. stew, and slaw was $6.35!! Fantastic food. The place has just been made widely known by an article in the newspaper 2 weeks ago, and they're scrambling to keep up with the increase in business. The restaurant has 13 tables.
If you go from I-285, go _in_ towards town on Roswell Road about 1.25 miles and the shopping center is on your right, and has one gigantic oak tree out by the road in front of the parking lot. You won't regret it.
