Grass Valley Indian Oven

Haven't checked the board in a while, but just had to write a quick note about the Indian Oven rest. in Grass Valley. While I am no expert at Indian dining or food, the dishes tasted great; flavor, texture, savoriness, mouth happiness, etc. My family shared the sag paneer, chicken makhani (the best dish of the evening), chicken chili masala, lamb curry and paneer pakora. All were very tasty, maybe not very traditional, but hey it was good food. Minor drawbacks: if you don't have reservations the hostess tends to roll her eyes before telling you how long it will be to seat you (maybe she has had some bad experiences with diners!), the plain naan bread needed a bit of salt, and the staff wasn't well trained to refill water or hot tea drinks. But good choice for a small town experience different than the usual pizza, burgers, pie. It's located in the Pine-less center, Freeman Way next to JC Penney.
