My family and I had dinner at Grapeseed Restaurant on Sat. night, a party of 4 adults. The wine list was good, extensive and overpriced.The appetizers were tasty, small portions and large pricetags. The polenta with wild mushrooms was excellent.Of the 4 entrees, the duck was the only really disappointing one. Thin slices of cold duck breast tempura with an awful pink sauce. It looked like beet borscht. It was served with 2-3 ravioli and no vegetable.The other three entrees, scallops, seafood stew and rockfish were fine, nothing special and quite pricey.The restaurant had no atmosphere, seating was either near the open kitchen in the back or near the door and front window. China, glassware and flatware were ordinary.The wines by the glass were quite expensive for a 3-4 ounce portion. I would not return, DC and Bethesda have much better to offer.
