i'll be going on wednesday to grand sichuan, midtown, with my wife, (3 yr old) daughter, and a couple friends for lunch. a couple questions:
-> my wife loves joe's and goody's for dumplings, but we'll be in a car (already in midtown). is the difference between grand sichuan's hsiao lun bao and the other restaurants really that big? we won't be able to get to joe's in midtown..
-> are their dumplings spicy? if so, will they follow my directions if i say something like "make the dumplings and wife's dish not spicy, but make mine spicy for an american?"
-> finally, the guizhou chicken - what are the spices that make this so good? can anyone give a description?
and, since i'm asking - any preferred parking lots between 9th ave/50th 7th ave / 50th?
thanks for any help. i've gone through the threads, and the previous discussions on grand sichuan helped a lot.
