We went on Friday night for fiance's birthday. He had Langoustines (from tasting menu) as appetizer and lamb 2 ways for his main course. Langoustines were unbelievable -- sweet, succulent and in a perfectly seasoned broth. Lamb was good, but nothing to scream about. I had seared foie gras to start and steak for my main course. The foie gras was a generous portion with wonderful cherries on the side. The steak was tough. Even tougher than the steak I had at The (overpriced) River Cafe for Valentine's day! Cheese course made up for the steak. Peanut parfait was a little bit too sweet. Service was pleasant but not particularly on top of it. We had to ask for bread. We had to ask twice for coffee. Coffee was brought at the end of the meal. Ginger snaps were the best part of the petit fours at the end.

The first 3 times we went to Gramercy, we loved it. But this time was not so great. I think we'll probably end up at Veritas for his birthday next year!
