Our party of 4 was ready and prepared to have one of the tasting menus at Grace this Sat. When I called to ask a question concerning our reservation I discoverred that they do not offer the tasting menu on Sat. When we made the resv. about a month ago, this was not explained to us, despite the fact that I indicated this was the reason for our reservation in the first place. I have left a message for Amy (Neil's wife and the manager).
We are celbrating 2 birthdays and wanted a special dinner. I have a few wines I am bringing to make the night really great. My question is, how should I proceed? It seems too late to make a reservation elsewhere, and our friends really wanted to go to Grace. I plan to ask if they will make an exception for us (perhaps the restaurant will not be as busy as normal), though I am not counting on it. What to do?
Thanks in advance for your insights. Peace to all in the New Year.
