Goodbye NYC

It’s been four great years in NYC and now I am off to LA. Oh how NYC has been good to my taste buds and stomach. From Sullivan Bakery’s potato pizza to the octopus man in Flushing. From Luger’s steak to dai bao at mai lae wah. 5 dumplings for a dollar from many places, but especially tasty dumpling. The ricotta gnocchi at Lupa. The grilled octopus at L’Incontro. Coco Helado for 50 cents on a hot day. And tacos from the cart on 104th and Broadway (much better then the 96th street cart). Pizza from Rose and Joe’s or Sal and Carmine’s. Dolset Bibimbap from the Mill. Kebab Café. Chicken on rice. Chicken and waffles from Amy Ruth’s. Wylie Dufresne’s original short ribs and his newer squid linguini. Roti Canai and Beef Rendang from Nyonya. The list could go on forever. New York City was amazing chowing. Can’t wait to keep on reading this board for new places to try when I come to visit. And of course, I have a whole new city to explore!
