I'm looking for a good recreational cooking school or private chef in Fairfield County, CT (preferably near Stamford, CT) that teaches classes on kitchen basics like:
Making stocks, soups, and simple sauces, how to poach, braise, stew, saute, fry, roast, and broil poultry, seafood, meats, eggs, vegetables, and fruits, proper cutting and slicing techniques as well as some specialized skills such as making omelettes and souffles, doughs, simple cakes, and breads.
Two friends of mine are getting married in June and haven't a clue. Thought it would be fun to get them a gift of classes they can take on the weekends or in evenings near their home in Stamford, CT. Any help or recos appreciated.
