We used to enjoy Mac's, many years ago, before they made changes that IMO brought the quality down.
For a while we contented ourselves with a nearby Doolittle's as it was close and not awful. They've discontinued that dish.
Made a trip to try Anchor; found it to be fairly heavy and greasy. Decent tartar sauce helped cut the oiliness. Fish itself was tasty, and portions very generous, but it was not as light (even given that the dish is not on the light end of the continuum) as I would have liked.
Any current recommendations for really good fish and chips (esp. where the chips are not an after-thought)?
