Five of us went for dim sum at Golden Unicorn in Manhattan this past weekend (Saturday). We arrived around 11, and were able to be seated immediately on the 3rd floor. We shared a table. By the time we left at 12:15, there was a considerable wait for a table.
There wasn't a ton of variety, and nothing was particularly outstanding, but overall it was good. If you're looking for a good, solid dim sum experience with carts in Manhattan, I think it's a very respectable option.
Highlights were the fried taro dumplings w/ pork, stuffed bean curd skin, and pandan-flavored mochi/dumpling filled w/ black sesame. Taro cake and rice noodle rolls were the biggest disappointments.
It was pretty affordable, fast, bustling, and overall good. I live in SF, and can get better dim sum here, but the people I was with have it less frequently and were very happy w/ the experience.
