Glazed or candied grapes

Long ago in a restaurant in Manhattan called Le Perigord Park (now closed) at the end of the meal they served candied grapes with coffee. They basically tasted like grapes with a hard sugar coating, sort of like a candied apple shell only thinner.

Any suggestions on how to replicate that taste?
