Dinner last Saturday night. Went in with no reservation and were seated in the bar area at a 2-person table by the front window.
Oregon Pinot Noir (by the glass at 7.50)
Grilled Shrimp Caesar Salad (special)
Braised Rabbit Fazzoletti
Rare Tuna with clams and udon noodles ($26)
Raspberry Sorbet and Vanilla bean ice cream
The salad was a solid rendition. Housemade sauce, blackened croutons. The rabbit was great, wrapped in a delicate doughy envelope topped with several "foraged" mushrooms and fava beans. Tiny bit of plum sauce and tomato powder decorated the plate, and provided a little additional flavor. The rabbit itself was ok, didn't really standout tho.
The Rare Tuna entree was one of the most intense flavor experiences I've had in a while. I don't see it on their online menu right now, but it wasn't a special either. 3 large chunks of tuna seared very minimally created a mainly pepper crust. The clams were nice, but some were cooked a little less than I'd prefer and the udon noodles/broth that the dish came in was just as tasty as the tuna. As good as this dish was, I'm glad we split it because I don't think I could have handled it alone.
One sour note, was desert which I normally skip anyway. The cappuccino's were not very warm and the ice cream took about 15 minutes to arrive, well after the cappuccino's had been finished.
Good spot, I'd recommend and return.
