Garcon ..Mediocre french bistro

Tried Garcon last night, they only had a pre-fix menu because of Valentines which I thought was lame because I would have liked to have tried some of the other things on the menu.
I ordered the shrimp salad, filet steak, and pistachio creme brulee.
I would give the food a 5.5 at best.

The salad was practically unedible, I don't know if it was my personal taste, but it had a very sweet cream dressing that was so rich the salad tasted more of a dessert than anything.

My filet steak was excellent but oddly lukewarm, it was accompanied by a delicious sauce of mushrooms.

The creme brulee was ok, like all of the food, it tasted like it had come off an assembly line due to the fixed Valentines menu.

The place was packed with the hip french guys from the Le Suite, Pink clique.
I sat at the bar and service was great there.

I thinked the place will survive off the location for a while but the food is somewhat shameful, I would only recommend it if you want an alternative to burritos, italian, or tapas.
