Full Kee on H Street seems to be rising back to its previous level of excellence and consistency, after a rocky few months (IMHO). Lunch last week brought the always delicious Hong Kong style Wonton Soup (no noodles), an order of clams with black bean sauce--the clams were smaller than usual and extra-tasty; the best soft-shells of the year (although not up to the standard of 2000--the batter is different)--I asked for them crispy and they were a decided improvement over the slightly soggy but still delicious crabs earlier in the summer; and some superb snow pea leaves stir-fried in garlic.
My companions and I breathed a sigh of relief and contentment.....
Has anyone reported on the Virginia branch?
