Stopped by Oishii today for a quick lunch, and saw the fabled fish on the special sheet...
.You know, the fish where if it is not cut right it causes death, paralysis, and general bad stuff to the diner...
so of course, I had to try it.
The flavor was similar to a cross between lobster sashimi and squid, not quite as sweet as squid, but a little more rubbery than lobster.
In all, I will derive far greater pleasure from being able to say I have had it that I did from actually eating it.
On the other hand, I had some Hamachi which was downright fantastic. Thicker pieces, cut in a cross hatch fashion, just soooo delicious and buttery.
