A dear friend who lives where oysters are abundant gave me a gift when last I visited - a bag of frozen oysters. Now these critters are out of their shells and frozen hard as a rock in one big lump. If they were fresh, no problem. But frozen, I have no idea what to do with them. I'm not even sure how to defrost them properly.
We are in the midst of a move and I'd like to use them. Suggestions with simple prep and readily available ingredients are most appreciated. Half my kitchen is packed and I'm not hitting anything but the regular grocery store.
