After the article appeared in Rick Nichols column about the Commissary/ Frog Carrott cake and the fact that Frog/Commissary catering was making them again for a limited time, we ordered one for Thanksgiving Day. It was to serve 10 and was $30. - a bit more than they used to be.
But if it was the same we would be thrilled. It wasn't. There was very little cream cheese icing - one of the highlights. And it was much sweeter than before. It did not look like the picture from Nichols column which we had on the refrigerator.
Because I know managers USUALLY care, I wrote to Steve Poses the next day. As of now, Ia week later, I haven't heard from him as to explanation or if this is what they will continue to sell. And here I was hoping for a special treat to serve our friends.
I'll let you know if I hear from Poses or the Commissary staff.
