Yesterday's NY Times was a fried chicken free-for-all. The front page of their Dining Out section had a giant, delicious picture of the dish, while within the section were recipes and a piece on the best places to get fried chicken in the city.
Now, I'm from New York and never considered fried chicken to be a big deal. After more than three years in DC, however, I've seen the error of my ways. Now, fried chicken, and most other foods Southern, really ring my dinner bell.
Does anyone have any recommendations for the best places to get fried chicken in DC? I'm typically a Popeye's guy, but that's just because I've never been too adventurous. I'm ready...
