Not if you're talking about sushi. As I noted in a another thread recently, except for tuna, raw fish served in American restaurants must have been frozen long enough to kill parasites, a rule that at least somewhat compresses the quality range from $500/meal super-sushirias to buck-a-plate fish-r-us emporia.
