OK to freeze non-dairy milks?

I have a friend who was recently diagnosed dairy intolerant (it's the whey and casein that are the troublemakers, not the lactose), so I've been experimenting with soy milk, almond milk, rice milk, coconut milk, etc. Many recipes call for less than a quart--it is OK to freeze non-dairy milk if I transfer it from its original carton?
