foot-long lobster roll at great bay

i sat at the bar on sunday night for a bite to eat with the bf and ordered their new addition of a traditional lobster roll sandwich...yum!! the lobster meat salad was nice and light and not dredged in mayo. the bartender said that instead they use creme fraiche and lemon zest. it was just enough to hold the meat together so the lobster was really the dominant ingredient (as it should be). it was served on a fantastic butter-grilled hot dog style bun (buttermilk i think it was). and yes, it really was a foot long! it did have a hefty price tag at $30. however, it was literally the equivalent of 2 normal sized lobster rolls, and they weren't skimpy with the amount of meat. it came with a copper pot full of really good shoestring fries and a mixed green salad with sweet 100 tomatoes. the bf had the soft shell crab BLT (also delicious, $15 i think?). we split the two sandwiches between us, but we could have just split the lobster roll alone and been fine.

it's worth going back with a friend and sharing it. it's basically $15 for a lobster roll that i think is comparable in size (if not bigger) to the one at B&G, but with more stuff included.
